Emily Vaughn and I finished our Vasquez Rocks shoot near the entrance of the park. There were horse stables nearby (no horses though) and big beautiful trees to climb in. I loved the outfit she was wearing in these photos. I mean how cool are her jeans? I'm also a huge sucker for a really cool hat. I loved the direct sunlight in some of the photos. As a photographer, you typically try to avoid direct sunlight because it causes weird unwanted shadows on the face, but with very little shade and cloud coverage we made do and embraced or mid-day sun.
